At 100 years old, Livingston, Alexander & Levy is the oldest law firm in Jamaica and during a Courtesy Call at King’s House on February 11, Senior Partners shared plans for the Centenary celebrations with His Excellency The Governor–General.

The Firm began operation on February 10, 1911 when with Noel B. Livingston (later Sir Noel) and Harold V. Alexander (later the Honourable) became partners under the name Livingston and Alexander. Aston Theodore Charles Levy joined the partnership in 1930 and fifteen (15) years thereafter, the Firm became Livingston, Alexander & Levy. The Firm now boasts 14 partners, eight (8) associates and one (1) consultant.

His Excellency commended the Firm for their achievements and the extent to which they have mirrored and facilitated the changes in society.

Senior Partner, Mr. Ransford Braham indicated that the Firm has not only been making strides inbusiness, but they have been participating in numerous social interventions and activities. He pledged the Firm’s support for the I Believe Initiative (IBI), and indicated that  the mandate outlined for the Initiative corresponds with some of the new steps for social programmes the Firm intends  to spearhead.
