Governor-General His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen has appointed Mr. Craig Beresford to act as Contractor General with effect from December 1, 2012 until further notice. Mr. Beresford is the Senior Director of Operations in the Office of the Contractor General. He replaces Mr. Greg Christie who demits office today, November 30.
The Governor-General has expressed his appreciation to Mr. Christie for his dedication and commitment to service, and the dignity with which he carried out his duties as Contractor General.
Established as an independent Commission in 1983, the Office of the Contractor General is responsible for the monitoring and investigation of government contracts, licences and permits, and ensures that they are awarded impartially and on merit.
