Deadline Extended For GG’s Christmas Good Deeds Competition

The deadline for entry in the Governor-General’s Christmas Good Deeds Competition has been extended to Friday, December 19. The competition which was launched via social media on Friday, December 5 is open to families, individuals and groups of individuals who are not formally engaged in social outreach activities.

The challenge is for persons to show love during this festive season to children in state care, the indigent in infirmaries and senior citizens in homes for the aged. The outreach activity must be completed and a detailed report along with photographs submitted via social media no later than December 29 to @kingshouse_GG (twitter) and facebook at Office of the Governor-General (King’s House).

First prize is lunch for a family of four at King’s House. Second prizes at the County level include lunch for two sponsored by the Hon. Ewen Corrodus CD, Custos Rotulorum for St. James; lunch or dinner for two at Evita’s Italian Restaurant in Ocho Rios, St. Ann and Lunch or dinner for two at the Spanish Court Hotel in Kingston. There are also three Consolation prizes of gift baskets sponsored by LASCO. Winners will be announced on January 5, 2015.
