Governor General His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen receives the Letter of Credence from High Commissioner-designate for the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Mr. John Akologu Tia.

Governor General His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, was presented with three Letters of Credence in separate ceremonies at King’s House, this morning (Tuesday April 19, 2016). 

 
Governor General His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen is presented with the Letter of Credence from Ambassador of Denmark, His Excellency Mr. Henrick Bramsen Hahn.

The first was received from the High Commissioner-designate for the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Mr. John Akologu Tia and the others from Their Excellencies Mr. Henrick Bramsen Hahn and Dr. Andras Gabor Drexler, Ambassadors of Denmark and Hungary, respectively.

 
Governor General His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen is presented with the Letter of Credence from Ambassador of Hungary His Excellency Dr. Andras Gabor Drexler.

The Ghanaian High Commissioner-designate and the Hungarian Ambassador will operate from offices in Havana, Cuba, while the Danish Ambassador will operate from office in Mexico.

 
A letter of credence is a formal letter/written instrument addressed by the sovereign or chief magistrate of a state, to the sovereign or state to whom a public minister is sent, certifying his appointment as such, and the general objects of his mission, and requesting that full faith and credit may be given to what he shall do and say on the part of his court.
