King’s House is the official residence of The Governor-General and his Spouse. Requests to tour King’s House may be made by sending a letter by postal or electronic mail. Guided tours are available Monday to Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
To facilitate guided routs by members of the public, requests should be made in writing at least four weeks ahead of time and submitted by completing the required Application Form which can be sent to:

Tours of King’s House include the following public areas:
- Foyer
- Ballroom
- State Drawing Room
- State Morning Room
- State Dining Room
- Sundial
- Gardens
- Museum
Prohibited Items
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to the following:
- Food and beverages.
- Pointed objects or items deemed to be potential safety hazards.
- Aerosol containers.
- Firearms, ammunition, stun guns, knives. Firearms must be declared and left at the Police Guard Room for safe-keeping until the end of the visit.
- Video recorders.
- Tobacco products, narcotics, drugs. King’s House is a smoke-free environment.
The King’s House Security reserves the right to prohibit personal items which are considered dangerous. Umbrellas, wallets, car keys, cell phones, and items needed for medical purposes are permitted.
On arrival, visitors will be met by a Tour Guide and briefed before the tour begins.
Dress Code
The highest standard of dress and decorum is expected at King’s House:
- Individuals should be well-groomed.
- Modest attire is recommended.
- With the exception of athletes in official uniforms, sportswear is not allowed.
- T-shirts, shorts, sneakers, slippers, or similar attired are not allowed.
- Males are not allowed to wear sleeveless shirts.
- Males are required to wear a belt and socks.
Other Requirements
- Groups with children must have a sufficient number of adults to supervise them. The preferred ratio is one adult to five children of ages six years or under.
- It is the responsibility of the person in charge of the group to ensure accountability of all group members at all times.
- There should be no littering.
- No item of King’s House property should be removed All confirmed visitors should call (876) 927-6424 to determine if any last-minute changes have been made to the tour schedule. Cancellations or late arrival should be communicated no later than 24 hours prior to the date of the tour. Being late without proper notification could result in the cancellation of the tour.
- All vehicles and persons visiting King’s House are subject to search.
- Buses should enter through the West Gate, All vehicles should park in the parking lot at the western side of the grounds.
- One or two days before the tour, the registration number of all vehicles and the names of drivers should be submitted to the Senior Executive Assistant.
