On Sunday, May 25, King’s House proudly hosted the National Chorale of Jamaica Medal of Excellence Awards, an evening dedicated to honouring six (6) outstanding individuals whose artistry and service have shaped Jamaica’s musical heritage.
Established in 1972, the National Chorale of Jamaica is a premier vocal ensemble committed to preserving and showcasing Jamaica’s rich choral traditions. Through decades of excellence, the Chorale has remained a cultural treasure, performing works that span classical, folk, and contemporary genres, and serving as a vital force in national celebrations.
His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen extended heartfelt congratulations to the honourees and saluted their dedication to the arts and their invaluable contributions to Jamaican culture.
