Social Studies and History teachers and students from St. Catherine High School visited King’s House on Monday, May 5, where they met with His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen and Major Dwayne Hill, the Governor-General’s Secretary.
They received an engaging and informative overview of Jamaica’s journey to independence, the role of the Monarchy, and the functions of the Executive, Judiciary, and Legislative branches of government.
The visit proved especially valuable, as the information shared aligns with the students’ CSEC Social Studies syllabus. They left feeling informed, inspired, and better prepared for their exams.
