On request, <\/strong>The Governor-General sends messages of congratulations to organizations and institutions marking a special occasion or significant milestone.  Anniversaries should be by decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guidelines for requesting, receiving, and publishing messages from The Governor-General<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n
• The request must be received no later than eight weeks prior to the requested delivery date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• The Office of The Governor-General will assess each message request on a case-by-case basis and will notify the person making the request if a message cannot be provided.   Due to time constraints and the high volume of submissions, not all requests can be accepted.   Obtaining a message on one occasion or for one event does not guarantee that it will be automatically granted for succeeding events or in subsequent years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
•  Messages are written in support of designated events and should only be used for the purpose(s) indicated on the request form and authorized by the Office of The Governor-General.  Messages should not be used for marketing, publicity, or endorsement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Requests for messages to celebrate a new position, promotion, retirement, or personal event will not be accepted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Messages will not be provided to organizations that are partisan or political in nature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
