Nominations for this year’s Governor-General’s Achievement Award are currently being accepted by Custodes in each parish. Nomination forms may be collected from Custodes and are also available online at www.kingshousejamaica.gov.jm and www.governorgeneralsawardsjamaica.com.

The Governor-General’s Achievement Awards Programme was started in 1991 and recognises persons who, motivated by a belief in their ability to achieve, contribute to the country’s development and in the process, impact the lives of many others.
The Governor-General’s Youth Award for Excellence was introduced in 2006 to promote excellence as a habit among young people. The Jamaican Diaspora Award for Excellence is awarded biennially to Jamaicans overseas, who demonstrate exceptional service to Jamaica and communities in their country of residence.
