It is with great sorrow that His Excellency the Governor-General and the Most Honourable Lady Allen express their condolence on the passing of Mr O’Neil Hamilton. Mr Hamilton died tragically on his way home from work on Friday evening, when a truck driver lost control and
slammed into pedestrians along Eastwood Park Road.
Mr Hamilton, served over 15 years at The Office of The Governor-General and Staff and was recently recognized at the Jamaica Civil Service Long Service Awards held Wednesday 23rd November, for 25 years of Public Service. The Governor-General, who issued the Long Service
award to Mr Hamilton, has expressed shock and sadness. “I am absolutely distraught and stunned. He will be greatly missed.”
The Governor-General and staff of King’s House send our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Mr O’Neil Hamilton and wish strength and comfort in this difficult time of grief.
