Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen  met with the finalists of the 2022  Jamaica Festival Queen Competition when they paid a Courtesy Call on him on  Monday,  25th July 2022. The 13  contestants had the opportunity to introduce themselves to The Governor-General, who  engaged  them in brief conversations. The finalists were: Miss Shanice Walters – Manchester, Miss Tramaine Campbell – Trelawny, Miss Britney Ellison – St. Elizabeth, Miss Deidrie Wadsworth – St. Thomas, Miss Khdrea Jones – St. Catherine, Miss Velonique Bowen – Kingston & St. Andrew, Miss Gabrielle Cole – St. Mary, Miss Sheri- Gaye Johnson – Clarendon, Miss Kimberly Todd – St. Ann, Miss Le Chone Redwood – Westmoreland, Miss Marieka Shaw – Hanover , Miss Renae Thibaud – Portland, Miss Shavae Scale – St. James. Velonique Bowen was crowned Festival Queen  at the Jamaica 60 Coronation on Emancipation Day, 1st August.
