Congratulatory Birthday Messages are provided on request by The Governor-General and His Majesty The King for the 100th birthday. If not received for the 100th birthday, then any anniversary afterwards, the request may be made.
Messages from The Governor-General
Applicants should complete an application form and return it to The Office of The Governor-General at least eight weeks before the celebration date. While requests beyond the required period may be accommodated, there is no guarantee that messages will be provided by the date needed.
It will be necessary to provide The Office of The Governor-General with documentary proof of birth, through either of the following:
- A copy of the celebrants’ birth certificate. A certified copy of the birth certificate may be obtained from the Registrar General’s Department or
- A copy of the biometric page of the celebrant’s Jamaican Passport.
Messages from His Majesty The King
To receive a message from His Majesty The King, an application should be made to The Governor-General at least two months before the birthday. A copy of the birth certificate should accompany the application.
