Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen lays a wreath at the Cenotaph at National Heroes Park on ‘Remembrance Day’, Sunday November 10 in memory of those who died in the Two World Wars. Commonly observed by the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Countries, a two-minute period of silence ensues at the 11th hour to remember those who have lost their lives. After the wreath-laying ceremony, Sir Patrick joined the Chairman of the Jamaica Legion to greet the War Veterans on Parade. His Excellency shook hand with each Veteran and thanked them for their service.
