Public Sectors workers, who have made an invaluable contribution to the Jamaica Civil Service for twenty-five years and more, were yesterday (Nov 19) recognized for their stellar contribution to the growth and development of the nation at the Jamaica Civil Service Long Service Award Ceremony.
The ceremony was held on the lawns of King’s House where Leaders and other stakeholders made the presentations to the worthy recipients. The awards were presented by: Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen, Prime Minister the Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, the Hon. Horace Dalley, Minister without portfolio with responsibility for the Public Service in the Ministry of Finance and Planning, Ambassador the Hon. Douglas Saunders, Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Public Service.
Mr. Sean Barrow was named Civil Servant of the Year. The award was presented to him by Chairman for the Board of Directors of the First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union Ltd.
