Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen received Letters of Credence from five (5) Ambassadors and two (2) High Commissioners at a Ceremony at King’s House yesterday.
The Ambassadors were:

His Excellency Anastassios Petrovas
Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic (Greece)
His Excellency Sang-il KIM
Ambassador of the Republic of Korea
His Excellency Andrian Yelemessov
Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan
His Excellency Carlos Amaro
Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal
Also there to present Credentials were:
His Excellency Dato’ Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman
High Commissioner for Malaysia
His Excellency Collen Vixen Kelapile
High Commissioner for the Republic of Botswana
In his Remarks, Sir Patrick welcomed the Diplomats and said, “Your assignment to our country is a reminder of your country’s interest and a recognition of our value in international relations.”
He added, “We trust that your work here will be satisfying and productive, including the specific matters which involve Jamaica and the relationship between our countries.” All the Diplomats will be Non-Resident. The Presentation of Credentials is one of the activities of Diplomatic Week, March 11-15. On Thursday, March 14, The Governor-General and Lady Allen will host the annual Diplomatic Dinner at King’s House.
