His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen on 6th January 2023, swore in seven (7) judges for the Hilary Term.

His Excellency extended congratulations to the judges, highlighting that they have “risen to a platform of great responsibility and service in Jamaica.” They were reminded by His Excellency to “exercise patience with the unlearnt, extend grace with the unkempt, and demonstrate prudence with every case that comes before their court.
Her Honour, Mrs. Annmarie Lawrence-Grainger, in her response on behalf of her colleague judges, expressed gratitude to family and friends who support and enable judges to do their important work.
Judges are sworn in thrice per year- in the Hilary, Easter and Michaelmas terms.
