Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen cordially received Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley on a courtesy call at King’s House on Monday (July 18, 2016) morning.

Lady Allen (mostly hidden) has the rapt attention of Mrs. Sharon Rowley, wife of the Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago.

The in-camera visit which lasted about 30 minutes ended with the Prime Minister signing the official guest book where he wished peace and prosperity for the people of Jamaica.

“My love and very best wishes to all the people of Jamaica, for peace, prosperity and brotherly love, from all the people of Trinidad and Tobago,” Dr. Rowley wrote.

The Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister’s visit comes as Jamaica and that country continue to have issues regarding trade and the treatment of Jamaicans by immigration officials of the twin-island Republic.

In the Meanwhile

Dr. Rowley is slated to meet with Prime Minister Andrew Holness, visit his alma mater; the University of the West Indies (Mona) and dialogue with leaders in Jamaica’s business sectors.

Prime Minister Rowley, his wife; Mrs. Sharon Rowley and other members of his Cabinet arrived in Jamaica on Sunday (July 17) evening and is scheduled to depart on Thursday (July 21).

The Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister’s meeting with Jamaica’s Governor-General was his first order of business on his official four day visit to Jamaica.
